What Is MDVIP?

MDVIP is a nationally recognized personalized healthcare program that helps physicians provide a more proactive and individualized approach to primary care.

Unlike traditional practices that may care for thousands of patients, MDVIP-affiliated physicians maintain smaller patient panels. This allows them to spend more time with each patient, provide more comprehensive preventive care, and develop stronger physician-patient relationships.

At Wilson Family Medicine, this approach builds on what we’ve always believed: the best healthcare starts with knowing our patients.

What Makes MDVIP Different?

More Time With Your Physician

Your health concerns deserve to be heard. With MDVIP, appointments are designed to allow more time for thoughtful conversations, thorough evaluations, and individualized care.

Enhanced Preventive Care

An important part of MDVIP membership is the comprehensive Annual Wellness Program. This program includes advanced screenings, diagnostic testing, and health assessments that go beyond a typical annual physical. Your physician uses the results to help identify potential health risks and develop a personalized wellness plan.

Greater Physician Accessibility

MDVIP membership offers enhanced access to your physician, including more convenient appointment scheduling and communication options.

Personalized Wellness Planning

Whether your goals involve managing chronic conditions, improving cardiovascular health, maintaining an active lifestyle, or preventing future health concerns, your physician will work with you to develop a plan tailored to your needs.

A Lasting Physician-Patient Relationship

At Wilson Family Medicine, you're more than a name on an appointment schedule. Our goal is to understand your medical history, lifestyle, concerns, and goals so we can provide thoughtful care through every stage of life.

About Dr. Vicki

As a family physician for over 30 years, I have witnessed an evolution of the systems within which health care is provided. But my commitment to forming partnerships with my patients and getting to know them as individuals has remained steadfast. I believe that an individualized, holistic approach is central to assisting patients in their quests to achieve their own optimal level of health.

I have practiced alongside my husband and practice partner, Les Wilson, MD, since we met in medical school. We have raised our eight children together along the way. I realize that it can be difficult to maintain balance in life and find time to eat right, exercise and pursue hobbies and other activities that provide fulfillment. My own life experiences, including the struggles to practice what I preach, have allowed me to bring a greater level of understanding and empathy to the doctor-patient relationship.

My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. My special interests include nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle interventions when possible.

My practice is located in Tallahassee, Florida, and I see patients from Leon and surrounding counties of North Florida and South Georgia. As your personal physician, my role is to get to know you not only through your test results, but beyond that to your family, work, recreational and spiritual life circumstances to help you work to achieve and optimize your own well-being.

About Dr. Les

I was just seven years old when my older brother was tragically killed in a car accident. That was the exact moment I knew that one day I would become a doctor. Many people look to life-altering events, such as this catalyst for what would unfold in 1988 when I entered the field of medicine. Becoming a physician is one of the most profound honors anyone could imagine.

I believe that in medicine, there are two main components: the technical aspect and the humanistic aspect. Many physicians rely on clinical and procedural skills; however, I find the humanistic side is often overlooked, even though it is essential to the doctor-patient relationship.

In my more than 35 years of practicing family medicine in Tallahassee, Florida, I have focused on developing deeper, caring relationships with my patients and their families.

My approach to family medicine emphasizes comprehensive, patient-centered care in a comfortable environment. Each interaction with my patients is guided by my primary goal of listening with attention and empathy in order to help them pursue their health goals.

This is what I strive to provide to you, as the MDVIP model serves as a vehicle for delivering wellness and personalized care focused on each individual patient.

I look forward to taking a journey with you as you work to maximize your wellness in the years and decades to come.
